We have been busy y’all…busy with fall. Most days of the week I drive this one to preschool.
But the preschool, Children’s House Montessori is what I NEED to tell you about. Miss Megan and the other teachers have truly created a magical place here. You can literally feel the dedication and care that has gone into the school when you walk through the doors. It’s a feeling and you know that it’s right when you leave your little one there each day;). It almost brings me to tears just thinking about how lucky Our family is to be a part of this little community. Really they make you feel like family at CHMS. I think we are all looking forward to seeing our little people blossom here. Especially Riv who desperately tries to charm Miss Megan each morning with a, “Hi teachor!” And he tries to sneak by us to wash his hands like all the other students;). Next year River, I pinky swear.
This one is thriving. Can’t ya tell! She is wishing for Winter everyday…..insistent on wearing her hat and gloves when we go outside. She is learning all about controlling her emotions (we think at school) and tells us things like, “calm down and take a deep breathe.” Pretty sure she has heard this a few times at CHMS;). She is sassy! Oh boy can she tell Chase and I a mouthful when she is mad. But most of the time she is just hilarious, “Can we go to Winter?” This picture makes me think of Beck’s video “Loser.” Circa 1990 something, right!?! And now you’re singing with me…..”In the time of chimpanzees I was a monkey…….soy un perdedor, I’m a loser baby…..”
This boy is enjoying his solo time during the mornings Sissy is at school. We do really awesome “educational” and “enriching” activities…..errr like Walmart and Costco runs, check out the produce at Hay’s, clean house, and um catch up on PBS, and Pinterest. His lessons are solo cart pushing, naming vegetables, and interpersonal skills (flirting with old ladies, waving and shouting hello to everyone;)
This week also kicked it up a notch with a little Mommy time;). My sweet friend Terra and I, (she’s my super fun buddy and a wonderful Jesus loving guide:), started going to a Beth Moore bible study at church. This is a plug for Beth Moore…..because seriously this woman is a game changer. Her books, her seminars, and her studies…..just go if you have the opportunity (you’ll see!). So I’m hooked and so happy to have the opportunity for Wednesdays with a little Terra and Beth (and some new friends too.).
